I am the Technology Teacher and Network Admin at Tri-City Christian Academy in North Carolina. I am trying to start teaching the ITF+ course at our school. Honestly, I don't even know where to start... Is there resources available that I can build out lesson plans with? Any help or guidance would be awesome!

Thank you,

Cole Haynes

This might be of help. @Steve Linthicum put this together.

Hey Cole:

Welcome to the CIN.

So, if I was starting from jumpstreet, I'd start with the Objectives Sheet which I've attached, and start looking for what text book you plan to use. Of course, we all like the CertMaster materials here in CIN'ers Paradise, but a book from any of the major publishers will do well. In fact, I know the CompTIA CertMaster materials have lesson plans built in. Other texts may or may not have them, depending on who it is.

It really shouldn't be that hard to build a good workable framework to teach your class, depending on how long you are looking to go.

With the welcome assistance of two community college faculty and a high school teacher.....

    Hi Cole,

Have you heard of the NCCIA (http://nccia.net/index.php/conference)? They have an excellent conference every year...this year's is in mid-March in Winston-Salem. They offer dozens of excellent sessions, and many address CompTIA certs or related material. You can also network with some amazing instructors who have been teaching these topics for years. I've attended/presented for several years now, and will be there again this March. Would love to touch base with you then!

Hi Cole. I'd be up for a phone call to chat about teaching ITF. Let me know if you are available any time after 1 p.m. or on the weekend.

In 2018 there was a TTT for that Course. (not long, two sessions). Also in the Comptia Store, there is an ITF Instructor Manual available (students as well), that normally includes slides and Session Planning.
That should be a starting point.
