Thanks for sharing this, Steve. I too used to have the MCT cert until i got tired of paying that fee around 2008 or 2009. My memory for some reason is fixated on a $450 fee. I loved the resources we had access too at the time, especially with my MCAD .Net cert.
It's great to hear that the fee...
It makes sense to apply the same rules as the security path with the positioning of data+ and datasys+ being equivalent to pentest+ and cysa+, and securityx corresponding to datax. But I guess we'll wait for the official response.
Best,

Watched mine on demand tonight and was able to get the certificate, albeit the audio was not great for several parts of the session. But that could be something on my end.

Thanks for letting us know, Ednei. I think with all the changes, new certs, and various exam revisions at CompTIA, updating all the info is still lagging behind. I am sure the folks at CompTIA are on it and things will get updated soon.

I found this video informative regarding the details of the incident:
This incident can be discussed across several topics: devsecops, kernel vs. user mode, incident response, etc. A great teaching moment!

Took mine today and i agree with your thoughts on the exam. Albeit, i was not as good at managing my time as you were and found myself racing to the finish line. Still recuperating 6 hrs later. ?
