Question About Timeframe for Part-Time A+ Students

Agree. While we do have students tear down /rebuild a PC and build a network cable we don't focus on repair labs at all beyond that - mainly focusing on configuration and troubleshooting labs for the A+ part of our course. I don't see a lot of our grads going into repair for sure.

Piqued my interest, intriguing... Thanks @jasoneckert ! 50 uses a month for the CE edition should make for lab use for sure.

    ITF Update / Date

It should technically be soon-ish (don't know officially), but I don't think it'll happen until next year, especially a TTT. The ITF+ TTT that @Steve Linthicum did was going on at the same time I was doing the original PenTest+ TTT over three year ago. So they both should be up again. But I...

    PenTest+ Materials

I believe they are available now. Usually are around launch of all materials and that's what I remember hearing when I was working on the Labs.

Question About Timeframe for Part-Time A+ Students

Despite the Core I and II name change, they are still imho the 'hardware' and 'software' exams. It would be nice if just one exam to speed up certification for students, but it also could be two individual certs as well which would be interesting to see. I doubt it'll actually go to one exam...

Each exam update changes roughly some 20% of stuff on the exam, dropping some and adding new. I can't say anymore on Linux just yet though. :) Keep an eye out for the Sneak Peek later in the Spring.

Question About Timeframe for Part-Time A+ Students

From my experience, it will vary how long someone can complete a self-paced course given their own situation. The best thing to do is to make sure they are making steady progress. Whether through check ins, or the back end of the reporting functions, focus on those who are not making progress...
