Clem Lundie

My work with the San José/Evergreen Community College District began in 1997. I was hired to teach a new course on the Computer Technology Industry Association’s (CompTIA) entry-level computer repairman certification called “A+.” I developed the curriculum and built the PC hardware lab required to provide the kind of hands-on experiences computer technicians would encounter in a production environment. This class has been delivered every semester, without a break, for over 20 years now. These courses evolving as the certification objectives evolved to meet ever changing industry standards. Today, SJCC’s A+ certification training has grown into a series of 3 courses providing over 150 hours of study in a single semester.
I continue to be an active member of the San Jose City College community. I’ve served on the Academic Senate, the America Federation of Teachers (AFT) executive committee, Campus Advisory Committee, and several terms elected as chairperson of the Campus Technology Committee. I conducted numerous outreach efforts to local high schools, universities, and the San Jose City Public library system. I’m very familiar with the San Jose City College culture. And I’m a significant contributor to every effort to accomplish the mission of San Jose City College.
My experience and exposure to a large swath of industries have allowed me to gain critical insight into information technology best practices. I feel well-suited to instruct in this area.
