I am Desmond Macfoy, CEO and Co-Founder of Knowledge Network Solutions (KNS), a professional ICT, cybersecurity, and digital skills training institution delivering industry-aligned education and certification programs. With over two decades of experience across enterprise IT, cybersecurity, training delivery, and institutional capacity building, I have led KNS to become a trusted partner for workforce development, certification delivery, and digital transformation initiatives.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) and maintain globally recognized professional certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, ISACA – Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA®), Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), and Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). These credentials reflect both my technical depth and my commitment to structured, standards-based instruction.
As an MCT and senior cybersecurity practitioner, I design and deliver competency-based training that bridges theory with real-world application. My instructional approach emphasizes hands-on labs, scenario-driven learning, and alignment with internationally recognized frameworks and certifications. I have trained and mentored learners from diverse backgrounds—including public sector institutions, financial services, telecommunications, and aspiring professionals with limited prior IT exposure—preparing them for globally recognized certification exams and practical roles in industry.
In my role at KNS, I also oversee curriculum development, instructor mentoring, and quality assurance to ensure our programs meet international benchmarks and employer expectations. We actively integrate vendor-neutral and vendor-aligned certifications to support clear career pathways for learners and to strengthen local and regional ICT ecosystems.
Joining the CompTIA Instructor Network aligns strongly with my professional mission: to expand access to high-quality, industry-relevant training and to uphold best practices in certification-aligned instruction. I am confident that my academic background, professional certifications, instructional experience, and leadership in training delivery position me to contribute meaningfully to the CompTIA instructor community while advancing CompTIA’s global skills development objectives.
