I am a veteran IT leader and Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert with over 25 years of experience spanning military operations, corporate infrastructure, and independent consulting. My instructional philosophy is rooted in "Military Precision, Simple Solutions"—transforming complex technical frameworks into actionable, secure strategies for students and organizations alike.

The Journey​

• 20 Years of Military Excellence: I retired as a U.S. Coast Guard Chief Information Systems Technician (ISC/IT). Over two decades, I spent 16 years focused exclusively on mission-critical IT and cybersecurity, managing high-stakes environments where "zero downtime" wasn't a goal—it was a requirement.
• 4 Years of Corporate Strategy: Following my service, I spent four years navigating the corporate IT landscape. This period allowed me to translate my military discipline into the fast-paced world of private sector ROI, compliance, and scalable infrastructure.
• Founder & Consultant: Today, I am the founder of Simple Solution IT, LLC. As a CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP) and CompTIA-certified professional, I help small businesses and defense contractors navigate the rigorous requirements of NIST and CMMC compliance.

Why I Teach​

I don’t just teach the CompTIA Security+ curriculum; I teach the reality of the field. My students benefit from a "dual-lens" perspective: the rigorous security standards of the Department of Defense and the practical, budget-conscious needs of the modern business owner. My goal is to equip the next generation of IT professionals with the technical "know-how" and the professional "know-why" required to defend today’s digital borders.
