Questions Regarding A+ 1200 Series and CertMaster Learn

Hello - I’ve been teaching A+ for the past few years and typically have students read the material, complete quizzes, and work through the assigned labs (with lab codes). However, the new 1200 series appears to be a bit different, and I haven’t had a chance to review all of the Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions yet—but I do plan to.

I have a few questions as I get up to speed:
  1. Is the "outline" considered the same as the E-Book/Textbook?
  2. I’m using CertMaster Learn—do I need to create custom quizzes, or are they provided?
  3. Where can I locate the labs?

I appreciate your help!

Hi @Joe Brown, I reached out the Product team and they have provided the responses below. You can also check out the CIN Instrucotr Toolbox we hosted earlier this year where we went into detail with the CertMaster content and discussed the features. You can find it on-demand here. https://event.on24.com/wcc/r/4889911/993E4AD3DA0CD7A1DE986E9E0B6BF259

The answers to your questions:
  • the outline is not the same - the ebook doesn't include labs or assessments, but CertMaster Learn does. The outline does follow the same flow of content, but CertMaster Learn has more assets than just the text you'd see in an ebook
  • There are assessments built into CertMaster Learn
  • There are labs built into CertMaster learn. They are directly in the outline and there isn't a dedicated "Labs" tab. You can filter by labs at the top of the outline.
