I just talked with Patrick Lane, the Product Manager for all things security. He said they are in the process of updating the NICE mappings, flyer and website. I was told it should be ready in the next week. In the meantime, this might have some information for you...
I did speak with @Brian.Matzelle about the issues and he said they are working on the vouchers and apologizes for the delay in receiving them. He will reach out to again with an update.
During the last TTT series, John Guise was talking to me about how he was using AI to help with lesson plans and how his organization is adopting AI from an instructor's point of view. I thought it was very interesting and have asked John if he would be will to share and demonstrate some of the...
Hi @Greg Knight, backing up what @Rick Butler commented, if your organization is an Academic/Delivery partner with CompTIA you will receive discounts on vouchers and content for students. You just need to have a conversation with your Sales rep. If you need any help identifying or...
Last year I was able to see Brad Chamberlain from Maricopa High School in Arizona present at ACTE CareerTech Vision 2023 in Las Vegas. Brad was part of a panel of presenters talking about instructional delivery methodologies for students. Brad has unique approach to helping students get ready...
Good feedback, I am interested to see how the a+ mini courses work out. I am wondering if instead of a+ Cyber, the a+ Network would be enough to fill the basics for instructors having to teach Security+ to students without a tech background. Will be interesting to see.
Hi @Robina, that is understandable and completely fine. We do ask, that independent contractors simply list some of the training orgs they work with so that our team can verify partnership with them.
Hi @Greg Aaron, yes, we have a cutoff for vouchers with the TTT series. We allow up to two-weeks after the last live session for folks to get caught up with all the sessions on-demand and any that they might have missed during the series. I generally recommend folks that complete the on-demand...
Absolutely. I would go a long way. Obviously we are open and want to support independent contract instructors, we just need to separate them from students, spammers and folks just looking for a free ride and voucher. Name and generic email address just doe not cut it. Sorry for the...
@Rick Butler, great job summarizing the process. I would reiterate that when registering for the TTT series, it is good to use the email address that you used for CIN, but you also need to specify the training org you are teaching for. Too many folks register for the series with a name and...
That is my thinking as well. How can you secure a network if you do not know how networks work? However, I do hear in cases where Security+ is offered first. So, I am wondering how popular this approach is, and how are the networking concepts approached when teaching Security+.
We should be seeing exam objectives in the next month for the new Tech+ certification update. Trying to finalize dates for a Tech+ Sneak Peek. Will post in CIN as soon as we can get it locked in.
Just finalized dates for Network+ Sneak Peek. Will be posting reg link soon. Be on the look...
So, here is a question for those that teach Security+ before Network+. How do you handle networking concepts that are included in Security+ objectives? Do you just cover them as you come across them, or do you offer a basic networking modular component as an add on to Security+? Thanks in...
