Congrats on the retirement. After achieving a mature age, clients do not look for certs. They say "This guy looks like he has some experience. Why bother looking for certs?" You can write a book and gain tons of credibility. Perhaps more than a cert that you'll have to explain to a client.

PenTest+ and Certified Ethical Hacker are, in some eyes, the same. I hold both and beg to differ. PenTest+ assumes you have real-world experience. CEH assumes you read a lot.
