I guess Courtney @ CompTIA has been busy emailing a number of us.

    Ring Topology

I'm a bit of a history buff. While I don't miss those days of hanging Christmas tree lights and having a single bulb burn out and going through the whole string of lights replacing bulbs one at a time until finding the "bad bulb", I like to remind people that's the way we use to have to do it...

    DATA+ - a new CompTIA certification

I loved that Healthcare IT "certificate" (noting that for whatever reason it didn't carry the "certification" designation). I also enjoyed picking up a couple of certificates that were part of the Federal Government-funded HIT Pro program that never caught on and was eventually dropped.

    New Instructor Advice

John, I agree. Two years ago a group of us developed learning content that is aligned with CompTIA's ITF+ current certification exam objectives. The great news is it is public domain since it was grant-funded. You may want to reach out to me via email ([email protected]) and I can provide...

    CTT+ Virtual Classroom - Submitting Forms TK0-203

What, no comment on my purposeful error in spelling "Studebaker"? I'm disappointed, but mindful of the fact that a majority of you had no idea that a car carried this manufacturer's name.

    DATA+ - a new CompTIA certification

The problem is the lack of acceptance of certifications in the world of programmers and their potential employers. This evidences itself when you look at the lack of success Microsoft has had relative to its MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) line of certifications.

    CTT+ Virtual Classroom - Submitting Forms TK0-203

Just like this classic 1950 Studabaker.

Mapping SY0-601 Exam Objectives to TryHackMe Rooms

My focus was on "free" rooms. The bottom line is a key way we can all benefit from CIN is to share resource ideas.

Mapping SY0-601 Exam Objectives to TryHackMe Rooms

The attached is an effort where I'm mapping rooms on the TryHackMe site to specific exam objectives for the SY0-601 exam for inclusion in my efforts to build supplemental content for the fall Security+ courses I'll be teaching. You may find this useful.

Yep, but I'm also showing that as you get older, time passes quickly ("Seems like only yesterday.....").

    CTT+ Virtual Classroom - Submitting Forms TK0-203

This thread got me wondering. Looks like, based on my certificate, I'm celebrating my 20th anniversary. Seems like only yesterday.....

    Complete ITF+ Course In Canvas

Great question without an answer as far as I've been able to find. Plenty of information on moving from Moodle to Canvas, but I'm not finding answers in the reverse direction. Of course there is always the CTL-C followed by CTL-V.....

    Complete ITF+ Course In Canvas

I've packaged a course that is largely public domain (grant-funded), and with the exception of access to the Practice Labs virtual lab environment, free access to the content is available. All you need is to download the course export file (link below) and set up a free Canvas LMS teacher...

Server+ TTT - Keeping the Conversation Going

Thanks Rick. A great job..... While I wasn't 8 for 8 in terms of live viewing, There was a well known conflict in CompTIA's schedule as Stephen S. and I (along with others) for the WASTC Faculty Development Conference that ran from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. last week and the workshop that focused on...

Server+ TTT - Keeping the Conversation Going

Time to complain about academic structure. I have a BS in engineering and a JD (Law). However, when I initially thought about creating a technical writing class at my College, I met with resistance from the English Department because I did not have a master's or doctorate degree that focused on...

Server+ TTT - Keeping the Conversation Going

Ignoring "change management." What a great point. There are these policies/procedures issues that are ignored. Just about every certification exam's objectives list identifies policies/procedures, but do any of us effectively cover their creation and how to write them, let alone how to follow them.

    Programming Instruction Ideas

Benny, take a look at this grant-funded content that is available as a public domain resource (meaning it is free except for the labs). Register as a student at: https://canvas.instructure.com/enroll/6R4TDR .
