One thing I used to do is have students take a photo next to the CompTIA banners with their certificates. I ran a blog and would post them on that, so folks could see as they earned them. Our school now has a big sign that says "I DID IT!" with the cert title, which gets a photo and whisked...

I do have one question - do we not have access to the older CM materials, such as the Instructor/Student Guides, the transition guide, and some of the other helpful resources from previous iterations of CertMaster? Or will CM Perform be the textbook replacement as well?

That is really what it comes down to - having skills, yes definitely important. But the creds also can create the atmosphere of trust from the get-go. When a student walks into a learning environment, they have no idea what that instructor knows or doesn't know; there's no way to create that...

Well, I don't believe anyone would advocate to having someone riding side saddle that could be seen as assisting in the content assessment of a cert exam, so it's a sticky wicket to have a helper in the room, particularly trying to maintain the testing integrity. Very good information to know...

Actually, no it is not. CompTIA has never required instructors or providers to have certifications for the things that they teach. It's suggested that folks have them - but that onus comes from credibility. In other words, it doesn't look good for a school/training center to have uncertified...

It took quite a while to get these keys out there for folks to recover their data. Considering that some of these go back at least three years, I wonder how many just did wipe and restores of affected systems...
