CTT Retirement postphoned to Sept. 30

On a related note, I just found my CTT book from 1998 (before CompTIA acquired CTT from ibstpi): https://triosdevelopers.com/jason.eckert/stuff/ibstipi.jpg

    Git Training needed

I did a Git blog post back in 2018 that served as a quickstart for our developer students - you may find it helpful: https://jasoneckert.github.io/myblog/a-simple-guide-to-git/

    Project+ TTT Vouchers

The A+ vouchers came through for me back in September, but I'm still waiting for Linux+ and Project+ (but there's nothing wrong with waiting for something that's free, right?) :)

    Happy Holiday All

One of my students put the following in our Microsoft Team (I subsequently stole and reused it): Merry C:\hristmas (the PC term for Christmas)

Dark Mode for the CompTIA Instructor Network website?

I've never understood why everyone is raving about dark mode these past few years, specifically. After all, we've had it for 40 years: http://triosdevelopers.com/jason.eckert/stuff/darkmode.jpeg

    CTT+

CTT+ is being retired permanently? Bummer. I remember doing it back before CompTIA purchased it from IBSTPI (we had to submit a 45 minute VHS or BETA tape of our class after writing the written portion). I also got the CPDT from them too. However, I can understand why it is being retired -...

    CASP+ resources

I was in the campus today, so I booked CASP+ in the testing centre and passed it to get it out of the way and provide some feedback here. I really enjoyed writing it - it does a very comprehensive job of covering the four domains of objectives. The simulations were epic!!! The TTT was great...

    Network+ N10-008

That is good, and you have definitely been lucky in those regards. Unfortunately, I haven't enjoyed the same experience. It's been such an issue with the students across all of the campuses in our college that it has been brought up on faculty calls. We've had students pass their first exam...

    Network+ N10-008

That choice is nice, especially in those cases where travelling is too far/costly/cumbersome. For me, I live within 15 minutes of a few testing centres, which brings the decision down to which experience I prefer. And yesterday reminded me - quite clearly - that I most certainly do not prefer...

    Network+ N10-008

Congrats! Let me guess - TTT voucher expiring soon and had to write it? I was in the same boat. So I booked and passed N10-008 today too :) I wrote in a physical testing center, which is always a great experience (no more online testing for me thankyouverymuch).

    Solid XK0-005 book?

Mine (6th edition) will be epic. But I imagine Cengage won't release it until early 2023.

    Linux+ Sample Question

Fun fact: When you Google "vi", Google will suggest "Did you mean emacs?" and vice versa. Kudos to Google for keeping the editor wars alive
