I agree. I have found practice test questions that are confusing, tricky, incorrect and have the infamous select all that apply. But when it comes down to sitting the actual exams, many of those issues were gone.

I do not like trick questions. However, if the question is a type such as ipconfig/ifconfig or traceroute/tracert, I understand what they are testing for the student. I do not consider those as trick questions. I did not consider this question a trick question either, but kind of was for sure...

Thank you for the response. I tried that once, attempting the PBQs first, was not a good outcome for my question pacing. Since then, I have recommended to my students to knock out the questions first and to never leave any of the PBQs fields blank even if not sure. Did you feel that the CySA+...

I agree, not a pre-requisite for Security+. Security+ is very strong for the IT entry-level and pro. However, on the Information Security Track of the CompTIA roadmap, it is hard to tackle CySA+, PentTest+ and CASP+ without some Linux skills. CompTIA has Linux+ and I feel is not getting enough...
