I tell my Security+ students they’re taking the class so they can do a job that requires cybersecurity knowledge. The Security+ certification is a prerequisite. They have to shine during the job interview and during the first 90 days at the new job, or else they will find themselves unemployed...
Going to answer a few questions here.
1. Just to clarify, I meant EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker.
2. The training partner informed me they did not win the bid. I do not have a pending CEH training opportunity.
3. Back in April, another training partner won a bid and scheduled me to train...
Hi gang. I told an authorized training partner I can train Security+. They scheduled me to deliver Certified Ethical Hacker for a full week this upcoming November. They have not specified the curriculum yet. What content overlap can I expect with Security+ material in CEH?
CompTIA ran three Train the Trainers within a short time span and then updated the website. I think the administrative burden was far greater than expected. Our friends are still trying to catch up.
The site is now promoting 39 certifications. What I'd like to see is how CompTIA creates value in the eyes of recruiters. CompTIA can then survey recruiters and publish their thoughts. Students can then decide which certs to pursue.
They should award discounted pricing to existing customers. They can create a policy of…if you have purchased anything from us in the past 10 years, you get 30% off any purchases over the next 90 days.
I also did not see any disrespect in Tess’ question. Let us remember that we, as fellow trainers, are on the same team.
Nobody’s integrity was insulted, IMO.
Onward and upward, my friends.
“Instructor status is current with CompTIA…” = ?. A better approach would be to ask candidates to show they are currently certified in the classes they propose to teach. CompTIA does not certify instructors.
