Still helpful in 2025!

It's coming!!! I have been doing training on Quantum and it's a fantastic technology!

Very good! I will bootleg it. ;-)

@Stephen Schneiter Is there any way possible to extend access to Certmaster for Linux+ from the TTT to like 12/31/2025? Many of us activated early (not knowing it would cut off quickly) and I want to be able to finish but the cutoff is 12/13/2025. I want to make sure I'm learning exactly what my...

That's probably why I'm taking so much time to study for the version 8 exam. The last thing I want to do is fail a beginner exam after years of working on Linux since 2007.

What don't you like about the new v8 exam?

Certification exam...NO. However, I would sit for the course and take the course. I think that would be very valuable.

EXACTLY! In less than 30 days.

It's probably going to be a little while with the holidays and course wrap up timelines. I'm still finishing the Certmaster course!

It's here, but you have to do the exercises provided by @jasoneckert https://github.com/sheastech/LinuxTTT Jason's Github: https://github.com/jasoneckert/LinuxTTT

OMG...this is a constant headache I deal with. They think I'm supposed to be Jim Rohn or Les Brown the motivational speaker every class. It's partly why I focus on online instruction via video now. It's soul draining at times with some students. I actually had a few students ask why videos can't...

I personally think it would have been a ridiculous requirement. I have taught at Universities as adjunct and at Community colleges and I do not think you need a CompTIA training certification to instruct students if you have graduate or undergrad degree's, CompTIA certifications and teaching...

The DOD 8140 really keeps some of these crappy certifications alive. Their ridiculous requirements.

LFCS and RHCSA has also been a golden ticket for me as well. Our team actually finally started excepting Linux+ (BUT...only version 8). We have very low respect for multiple choice only exams. Those hires tended and has proven to be the most difficult to onboard and train up over hands-on learners.

I don't know anything about Tech+, but as a supervisor. I wouldn't entertain it at all. I would take the A+ or TCM Security PHDA (https://certifications.tcm-sec.com/phda/) before I would pay any attention to Tech+. Especially, since they have some technical immersion also. For me and many other...

Over the last 8 months, I have found that direct instruction is the only thing that has proven effective, but I'm having such a challenge getting students to just FINISH their course. Their always so excited in the beginning. They pay for a monthly on-demand instruction, but I login and check...

I really hope their focusing more on hands-on labs and actual scenario's versus yet another multiple choice exam.

Thus my years long battle to prove to companies that multiple choice is crap and to do labs and hands-on instead. Red Hat had this right from day 1.

Not sure what part of the country your located, but that may have been the case 15 years ago. Their no longer the go to anymore.

I really don't pay anything from Robert Half any attention. At least in the gov space. I have never seen anyone ask for or care about Cloud+...ever.
