Yeah, I don't post on the CompTIA reddit anymore, either. Like Greg mentioned, it's basically a sub full of whiny entitled cheaters, dumpers, and thieves. Even with aggressive moderating, they'll still squirm out of the woodwork. Not worth the time anymore.

Congrats on your win! Well done!

Right...but...the question I was wondering had to do with the rules for who got to be a Pearson VUE TA. Pearson is saying no to anyone who holds a current CompTIA cert. CompTIA's information says there is a six month wait period before or after taking an exam. Pearson's change came about in...

We can always go off the rails and start doing Azure stuff... (that's what I'm doing anyway...LOL) /r

So, we have PV Test Centers within our schools. The rules at https://www.comptia.org/en-us/resources/test-policies/proctor-policies/ stipulate the six-month rule that prevents anyone who has taken an exam in the last six months must wait before he/she can be a PV Test Administrator, and six...

Congrats on the win!

You're probably right about that. It's like the faceless mob that's Reddit. There's no fighting that. All you can do is ignore it/them - which is what I do with LinkedIn as a platform, since I've gotten completely fed up with all social media. It's all garbage to me - a colossal waste of...

I dunno - if it were me getting them, I'd probably take a screen capture of the solicitation and post it on LinkedIn for all to see. Maybe hash it #WallofShame or something. But then, I don't really do much on LinkedIn (nor have any inclination to use the platform, really - kinda hating it...

Question: Did you do the first on-demand session for SecAI+ DURING the webinar's scheduled times? If not, then I don't think you'll have access to the CertMaster materials as such. Not sure about CySA+ since that's going on now - Stephen would have to answer that one...

You will want to discuss this with your Business Development Manager at CompTIA. They are usually able to connect you with specific resources. /r

I'm hoping the Community will be able to make use of this, once again. I took quite a long time to get my act together and get it posted, so for that, apologies. /r

First, apologies for taking so darned long to get this back up. I had to search around for a compiled list from the v1 cache - but landed on something I had rebuilt from Dec 2025. But, I think it's time to get it put back up. So, here it is... The Black Fedora Cyber Cache v2 Go check it out...

Welcome to the Black Fedora's Cyber Cache The Cache is a one stop for links to resources. Whether you're a student, instructor, passer-by, practitioner, or what-have-you, the Cyber Cache is back for all you security-focused CIN'ers out there! Now, this list is hardly complete or comprehensive...

Outstanding, Russ! That's a great story - and I remember seeing that Linux question. I was both amused and alarmed by it - since I tend to have a high-stakes attitude with every single cert I take. So I can vouch for that 'doubting one's self i.e. imposter syndrome. But it's always good to...

Nice job. Well done.

Nice job! Another certificate for the I-Love-Me book!

Yep, we're still going out here. Probably not as much chatter as of late, but I still check in generally once a day, as others do. Would love to get some more chatter going, of course. Real stuff, not noise...etc etc.... Happy Tuesday masquerading as a Monday (at least for the US and a few...

And maybe I'll be able to attend this one!
