And now I have received a survey from CompTIA about considering making Tech+ a CE course as well.

I suggest sending this request directly to @Stephen Schneiter and he may be able to assist you in determining your CompTIA rep.

If your account at store.comptia.org doesn't show the academic pricing, (a lot of people have this issue) what most here seem to be doing is placing an order with their rep to get the correct price. Please let us know if the email you sent bears fruit!

Vouchers are included in tuition at my college, there is no bulk discount for us, but we purchase using academic pricing and keep a few on hand for each certification and restock as needed.

We have very different opinions on what complaining looks like it seems. This thread was about several people wishing that it might make a return. And my comments mirror several of your opinions.

It no longer shows "Academic" next to your name but after it gets sorted out with the CompTIA rep, you should see academic pricing. I guess I was one of the lucky ones who never had this problem. Academic pricing is definitely working for myself and our Director of Education....but not our...

I can confirm I received the same email you've shown for Server+. I also see it on the CompTIA site

I can definitely confirm, at least in the USA, academic pricing for A+ courseware exceeds that budget. I believe pricing will vary by country but what I can see for CertMaster Learn Core 1 & 2 combined is substantially higher than $180.

I really enjoy your teaching style @jasoneckert and I am looking forward to this TTT with you!

As I new member I am guessing you mean in general rather than the past train the trainer. (If you meant the TTT, see @Chris Posey 's post.) I suggest talking with your CompTIA rep for your school or organization, they can help you get access to the training content.

I completely agree with Rick that even older lab manuals still have a good value for learners. You could also let AI do some of the heavy lifting. For example, I had AI develop 5 scenarios with a broken windows installation, (BOOTMGR, BCD type issues for example) and had it create instructions...

I definitely do not think it is against the rules, but it is likely in the wrong forum. (CIN Open Forum may be a better choice) I have never seen anyone use this platform for wishing students we will never meet a happy birthday, but I think it is really nice that you want them to feel...

I agree Rick, the explosion of cloud growth really doubles down on the need to know Linux. It is running so many (most) of the servers out there!

Happy birthday Wajih! Question for you @abiodun1991 Are these your instructors or your students birthdays you are posting?

I kick myself for not getting this having been a CompTIA trainer for so long! I believe CompTIA is used to the big numbers that A+ Net+ Security+ and the like pull in, but I also really hope CompTIA sees the value in being the primary source of having a certification showing more than just...

Congrats @Jason Perretta! Well done! Boy, do I agree with you on this @Gregory Childers! While Linux as a whole has quite a few challenging concepts overall, the exam is worlds apart from the Network+ or Security+ in terms of extreme detail questions.

I am very curious to check out the CompCert courses and AI will be a great intro. Registered!

Yes if you complete all the sessions promptly you will receive a voucher code in your email. I am unaware of how long you officially get to complete them.

Sorry to hear that didn't work. Does it show the "Academic" in the upper right next to your name? But Stephen is correct, your account rep is the best one to talk to on this.
