Cloud+ v4 no longer fully renews A+, Network+, or Linux+. Unlike v3 which did, v4 only provides 15 CEUs toward Network+. So yes the change is real — CompTIA removed the full renewal benefit in the latest version.

Haha nope, CompTIA didn’t suddenly get bought by Microsoft. What you’re seeing is just because CompTIA uses Microsoft’s cloud (Azure/Entra ID) for their Single Sign-On. That’s why the cert shows Microsoft Corp in the details. So nothing to worry about. "CompTIA is still CompTIA"
