    CIN Sneak Peek: CySA+ V4

As an instructor, I enjoy the sneak peek almost as much as the TTT's in that it spends a good amount of time showing where the focus has shifted from the previous versions. My college has been considering CySA+, and this refresh might be just what we need to get that ball rolling.

Need Help related to CompTIA A+ Core 1 Simulation

OP said it was demo'ed during the TTT. I just don't have the strength to go back and re-watch just to find the definitive answer

    Passed Linux+ XK0-006

Certmaster labs was a great help. I also use a home lab for a lot of the practical application stuff.

    Passed Linux+ XK0-006

Exam went quite well, I had studied for the 005 but never took it. Process of elimination seemed more important than in most of the core exams. I use Linux in the context of Sec+ regularly and did much better than I expected. I scored an 873.

    Passed Linux+ XK0-006

I finally buckled down and took the Linux+ and passed it today. It took some extra study but after I let the 005 get away from me I swore to myself I wouldn't let it happen again. HUGE thanks to @Stephen Schneiter, Jason Eckert's great TTT and the amazing CIN network for the voucher. Watching...

Do CIN Members Get Discounts on CE Renewal Resources (e.g., Security+ CertMaster CE)?

I too have never heard of a discount on these for CIN'ers. I think they are trying to encourage instructors to take the new version of a certification, not just the meet the CE requirements would be my guess.

Need Help related to CompTIA A+ Core 1 Simulation

Without re-watching the TTT, my guess then is that it was the older testout platform that is being rolled up into CertMaster products. There are lots of labs like the one I showed in there and they are really good for student practice. Personally I still prefer the hardware stuff in person...

Need Help related to CompTIA A+ Core 1 Simulation

That was a ways back so I am not certain but - Was it a CertMaster lab perhaps? Kind of like this?

Now Available: PDF of A+ Core 1 and Core 2 CertMaster Perform V15

1201 is virtually unchanged besides expanded acronyms. 1202 had the same plus a few new items. Here is a side-by-side comparison of 1202 v2 & v4 (aka v15).

The best place to get the latest objectives is at https://www.comptia.org/en-us/certifications/a/core-1-and-2-v15/ The latest versions now seem to align with the certmaster numbering system. I would attach them, but CompTIA wants you to accept the privacy notice.

The best thing to do is reach out to your school's CompTIA rep to check on voucher usage or message @Stephen Schneiter directly.

    New A+ 1201 objectives

Some things were done away with in the certification exam, but still covered in CertMaster. The troubleshooting theory steps comes to mind. Many times these are addressed best (IMO) in the "Sneek Peek" webinars. https://cin.comptia.org/threads/cin-sneak-peek-a-1200-series.2218 might be helpful.

    CompTIA quiz lockout features

I am pleased to see the student was using the actual content to look up answers, rather than blindly pasting into a LLM for the answers. We use Safe Exam Browser at my college, which eliminates many of these issues, but students will always seek a workaround.
