Once upon a time, I used to be able to get discounts through the Academic Store based on a .edu e-mail address, as I am an instructor. Now, it is asking for proof that I am a student. What happened to instructor discounts?

Is your organization an Academic Partner? If so, you should be able to get comp vouchers from through that channel - just request 'em.
