Hello, We are the Southeast Albuquerque Success Center aka SEA SC.

The Southeast Albuquerque Success Center (SEASC), a state-recognized non-profit corporation, designed to be a Pathway Career Hub for Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. SEA SC (pronounced SEA - S – C) as a partner in the effort to eradicate generational poverty, provides students with guided educational pathways into a competitive workforce for the community and global economy. SEASC, established in 2018, provides recurring workforce development programs to underserved communities. The chief objective of SEASC is to provide these highly skilled trade certification courses and training gratuitously to qualifying individuals from economically distressed areas of the city.

SEASC focuses on three career pathways: Information Technology (IT); Electronics/Computer Technology; and Service Provider (i.e. customer service; Microsoft; call center). Each pathway will provide participants upon course completion and achievement of passing score of applicable certification examination with a transportable industry-recognized certification.

Very interesting! I'm part of IntelliTec College which has a campus in Albuquerque, which has a Computer Technology certificate program (soon to be back to an Associates of Occupational Studies degree). The program is built primarily on the CompTIA framework and provides hands on training. Perhaps you might reach out to the campus (they're on Montgomery at San Mateo) and see if there's some kind of synergy that could happen there. If you want to PM me directly, we can talk more. I'll let them know we've chatted as well.

Hi, I'm from the Philippines.

I already have my Network+ and currently working on to get my Security+ hopefully within the month. I am the managing partner and CTO of our tiny startup IT solutions reselling company and we are in the process of incorporating vendor-neutral training & certifications to our portfolio.

In my country, I think there's no authorized delivery partner yet who can conduct all the CompTIA courses and my company is working on achieving that. And hopefully, sooner than later. hehe.

Great conversations! Speaking of Old Timers, last week at the RSA conference in San Francisco, we talked with someone who actually had his A+ certification from 1996. He brought it by the booth just to show us. Great to visit with him and talk about how the cert, and tech, have changed!

Great conversations! Speaking of Old Timers, last week at the RSA conference in San Francisco, we talked with someone who actually had his A+ certification from 1996. He brought it by the booth just to show us. Great to visit with him and talk about how the cert, and tech, have changed!

That's awesome! I pulled out my old card from 1999 - when I took it on a dare.

As the story goes, I had just earned my coveted MCSE credential after blasting the MS Exchange 5.5 exam in 16 minutes on an adaptive exam. Triumphantly, I walked in like a boss with my cert credential. Then one of my co-workers said to me, quite matter-of-fact'ly, "Yeah, so? You don't have your A+ Cert, though".

"Really?"

"REALLY??"

"Okay, hoss. I got you."

That next Friday, I scheduled both sides of the 220-101 and 220-102 (we're on the 1001 and 1002 now...funny) and took them both cold turkey. Walked out with my A+ cert, back in the office, like a boss and said, "...oh, but you don't have your MCSE...or any MCP exam for that matter."

The song wasn't out yet, but if it was, my "peace-out" ditty would have been Hugo's rendition of Jay-Z's '99 Problems', tossing up my fedora in Blacklist Raymond Reddington fashion and stepping to the beat...

Hi Rick, we're based in Pittsburgh but have offices scattered around the U.S. and a Canadian training center and operation based out of Toronto. We're a GSA vendor and do a lot with the government and DoD, as a B2B corporate provider we also work with many multi-national corporations so that gets us all over the world.

Hi Stephen....we're surviving, thanks for asking. We've been able to convert much of our in-person training over to virtual but we're anticipating a slow-down as our clients will of course be impacted by all this even more than us. We were able to secure a good-sized SBA PPP bridge loan that will get us over the hump so we should be ok. Fingers crossed. How about you guys?

My name is Robert. I have been working in the field since 2003. I try to study new things and at the moment am not working on a particular cert although I have finished the training in DoD for Certified Ethical Hacker. I was not able to input my certs when I joined because for some reason it was not taking my information. Perhaps you can tell me what error I made.
