I have also had issues with macOS taking exams on Pearson as well as other platforms. I recommend going live but I saw your issue about timing.
You could also borrow/rent a Windows PC to take the at home exams.
No the VM question does not appear on the review screen and you can NOT restart it. Before starting the exam, it DOES tell you that any VM questions can NOT be reset or reattempted. Am almost sure that just before it started I also got a notice telling me that only one attempt was allowed.
I took both the CySA+ & CASP+ in the last 2 weeks of December & with the specific exception of any VM questions (which they TELL YOU during the exam you cannot reset/redo), all of the regular multiple choice questions AND the regular PBQs where able to be marked for review and gone back to...
Same answer I would have given had it not happened to be the first TTT I was able to fully participate in. It's not a requirement for teaching it but I think it is helpful to have experienced any cert exam you are teaching, regardless of level.
Signed up for CySA+ beta 003 Jan 3 just in case I failed the 002 Dec 20th. In the end I passed & am certified as of then, plus it renewed everything. Taking the beta for experience but its a lot more fun when a cert isn't hanging on it. Just want to see how different it is.
No. A voucher exam can only be used to test up to the date on the voucher.
Cisco & apparently CompTIA also sells (or did at one time) something called a coupon which uses a 2 step process. First you convert the coupon (good for 365 days) to a voucher by the date on the coupon. Those vouchers...
Got similar internet issues at home so I booked an
office/conference room at our local workspace center for the time I wanted to take the exam online, plus 30 min before & after for check-in & delays. Online does not have to be at home, just someplace you can lock the door so you won't be...
Nice way to end the year. Will be able to get some sleep over New Years even tho taking the CySA+-003 beta Jan 3 to see how different it is. Does this mean I have to stop saying I'm a n00b now or can I wait until I pass Linux & PenTest+?
You must pick a date on or before the stated expiration date. If you select a date after the expiration when you get to the payment screen in Pearson it will tell you that this voucher is not usable for the date selected. Just take it & see. You may pass.
Hi all, would it be possible to add cpe's to the session certs! I realize they don't count for other CompTIA certs but they definitely count as professional development for many other certs I need cpe's for!! I am sure I am not the only attendee who needs profession development cpe's.
The issue was fixed. You just need to go back and log in to Session 1 as if to watch it and click the certificate icon to print. I just went in today and it worked fine. Like many IT issues make sure to log out of all app windows or tabs (in this case any on24) and ideally the browser so you get...
I have seen job postings in CIN list as a rob requirement: CertMaster Instructor training completion certificate or documentation of completion.
How do we get this training and/or get this certificate?
Double ditto on YouTube because you can either watch cute kittens or watch Richard Feinmen videos and "learn". Both are a nice break but until quantum mechanics are on CompTIA objectives, neither help you pass that cert exam.
Congrats Jill I also passed mine the last week despite trying hard to take it a month ago.
SEC+ should roll the A+ & N+ to the SAME expiration date as the Sec+ so all will expire at once.
That should be 3 years from the day you passed the Sec+. If it added more, check back later & see if it...
