Xpert Series - DataX and CloudNetX

See, I could see DataX renewing these two. Meanwhile, not so much here - since CloudNetX is more of an amalgam of cloud and networking. Like a Venn diagram, there's a good amount of material in Cloud+ and Network+ that would not come out in CloudNetX from what I can determine.

Good Day Poeple I have a problem of which I hope one of you poeple can help

I used to use CyberVista for a while. Their questions weren't quite certification grade in the years we used them. I would say they are more on par with CompTIA's review questions from Learn and Labs, in terms of difficulty. Good for ramping up, but not so great if trying to evaluate for test...

Good Day Poeple I have a problem of which I hope one of you poeple can help

So, it sounds like you're looking for practice testing for these exams, yes? There would seem to be a wide range of practice testing options out there. Is there something you're specifically wanting? Because it would seem that all you might need is something like CertMaster Practice or maybe a...

Pearsonvue test center? You got one?

Our college has an on-prem PearsonVUE testing center for testing - not just for our computer programs, but for our AMT medical programs as well. Our test center is not available to the public, meaning you can't schedule through the web for our site - you have to contact our librarian who would...

    Unused servers

The one thing about servers is that, if properly maintained, they just keep going and going and going. I still have some Dell PowerEdge T410s that still hold up our on-prem infrastructure, which we'll retire before too too long, although one might say they've been in operation for too, too...

Wondering what type of organization you work for as a trainer

Career College/Tech school, traditional college, and a scant amount of consulting/freelance training and a scanter amount of DoD internal training.

    New voucher pricing is per-version?

Well, CompTIA would raise prices on things each year, so that's not unusual. Odd about version pricing, but maybe if that's the case, the version and voucher will follow each other.

    Certmaster Lab and Learn Integrations

So, CompTIA has some information on integrating CML/L 2023 and prior into Canvas with LTI 1.3. CM products 2024 and forward also have some extensive integration over LTI 1.3 as well, you can find that here. The 2023 and prior versions, as I recall, would also have some kind of dashboard that...

To everyone taking Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, and SecurityX

In one of the most extreme ways, when I was working Missile Defense, deployment of updated systems was VERY slow - working on systems that are 20+ years old is very common - because you can get predictability down to the wire level. In other words, O&M would know every signal, every voltage...

    Comptia Academy Student discounts

Actually, I would probably recommend that you reach out to your Business Development Manager. They'll probably have the most current numbers.

Seeking input on hiring CompTIA Instructors

I was looking at the median average for training houses and colleges. And yes, the going college rate is somewhere between 20-25/hr, even if you're going in as Adjunct (which to me is the same). They do get it, though, as there are always someone out there that will take it or nothing at all.

Seeking input on hiring CompTIA Instructors

Well, You're not somewhere where the cost of living is ridiculously exorbitant, say, Southern California? IT in general is underpaid, in my estimation - particularly for those that bothered to get their Network+ before doing Security+ (lol)

To everyone taking Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, and SecurityX

There are so many people that just want the "quick and easy pathway" to Security+ and higher and find learning basic networking, computer skills, or the like to just be a hinderance. But, so many people just want to go cyber/be cyber and so on, to the point where they leap over basic skills...

Seeking input on hiring CompTIA Instructors

Are you saying $55-$60/hr is a low pay rate? Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but the average US pay for a contract CompTIA instructor is somewhere in the $30-45/hr range, so that rate would actually be pretty good. Unless I'm missing something - which is entirely possible.

    Eligibility for CloudNetX voucher exam

Not likely, mate. The final deadline, I think, just passed. Usually takes about 6-8 weeks to process the attendee list from On24 and do up the order. I'd probably keep an eye open in June/July. /r
