    New CompTIA web site launch

I went to the main CompTIA website today and was greeted with the following message:

    SecurityX CAS-005 Voucher

PenTest+ vouchers have already gone out. Contact @Stephen Schneiter if you haven't received yours yet. SecurityX vouchers have not been distributed to anyone yet. There is no need to keep adding to this post and other posts. Stephen has to go through a process of verifying everyone who meets...

    No Tech+ ID card?

It's easy to prove which version you've passed. It's in your online CompTIA transcript, which you can share with clients or employers. Although, I still find it completely ridiculous that clients and employers ask which version I've passed for various CompTIA exams. I've passed six different...

    No Tech+ ID card?

I honestly can't remember if I received a card for mine or not. After 22 years of earning CompTIA certs, I got rid of all my cards and shoved all my certs in a folder.

    Cloud Essentials+ retires on September 25, 2025

I don't believe this certificate will require any CEUs. Quite honestly, I'm surprised CompTIA didn't create an AI+ full certification program. A few of the other certification bodies have AI training and some have certs.

    Cloud Essentials+ retires on September 25, 2025

If I understand it correctly, the AI Fundamentals will not be a certification program. It will offer a certificate after taking an online, unproctored quiz.

I considered Storage+ but never got around to taking the exam. I also took the computer-based exam for CTT+ but never submitted the video portion.

CompTIA A+ Subject Matter Experts Needed

If someone was an SME for the exam itself, either by assisting on the Job Task Analysis or Item Writing, then the NDA prevents them from working on some commercial product related to the exam. If someone is a technical trainer who was not an SME for the exam, the NDA only states that we cannot...

I can remember when the official A+ curriculum taught a lesson on the history of computers and technology. John Napier, Charles Babbage, Alan Turing, Adm. Grace Hopper, Lady Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace., Atanasoff and Berry, Howard Aiken, John W. Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert, John...

Two of my certs are good through 2031. I'm done retaking exams just because the version has changed.

I work as an independent contractor, so some clients will pay for retests while others won't. I get several free vouchers by attending the TTTs or passing inexpensive beta releases of the exams. However, none of my clients has asked me to retake the ISC2, ISACA, or PMI exams, even though they...

    Cloud Essentials+ retires on September 25, 2025

The three retired certifications that I earned were the i-Net+, CDIA+, and DHTI+. The CompTIA i-Net+ certification was designed to validate the technical knowledge and skills needed for entry-level Internet and e-commerce roles. It focused on fundamental Internet concepts, including...

    CompTIA CTT- Instructor Position (Houston,TX)

The CompTIA CTT+ was retired on March 31, 2023, so that would limit your applicant pool since the certification is no longer offered. Could you provide clarity on the following: CompTIA is an organization, not a subject area. A+ is a certification program. Cybersecurity is a sector of IT...

    Cloud Essentials+ retires on September 25, 2025

I'm assuming that they run the numbers on sales figures in the CompTIA store for vouchers and training to make decisions regarding ROI. The organization has retired several certifications over the years. I'm adopting a "wait and see" approach to the new products. My concern is that I hope...

Good luck getting an official answer soon. The new management at CompTIA has been silent as the grave on most queries.
