People use that same logic for buying lottery tickets, even though the math doesn't support it.

    Pearson Vue Proctoring Issues

I've taken dozens on online exams using OnVue since the pandemic and I love it. The last exam I had to take at a Pearson Vue testing center was my CISSP in October 2023, because ISC2 doesn't offer online exams. My home office is set up for virtual training, and it's the perfect testing...

    Excited about the CompTIA Essentials

So their plan for increasing profit is entering an overly saturated market where a lot of the content is more mature? Or in some cases, absolutely free?

    Excited about the CompTIA Essentials

I still don't see anything in the Essentials series that isn't offered elsewhere by other vendors.

CompTIA Network+ N10-009 - CEUs required for certification renewal

No, it's still 30 CEUs. The web site is in desperate need of an update. There is a lot of outdated information, as well as inaccurate or incomplete information still on the site.

    Excited about the CompTIA Essentials

I can do LOOKUP, HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, MATCH functions, and many more. I can do Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts. I can establish ODBC links and can connect to Azure services. I can write VBA macros and have most of the object model memorized. I've been using Excel since 1995 and have...

    Excited about the CompTIA Essentials

I must be a dissenting voice on this series. I don't see any value in the Essentials series at all. They lead to a "CompCert" from a 30-minute test through Certmaster. The CompCert will have no standing in the industry. The content would be better served through a series of webinars. Other...

CloudNetX not showing up in my list of certifications

I just received the announcement today. The CloudNetX cert finally showed up in my Certmetrics account. It also shows an entry in the fulfillment table so they can mail me my paper certification. And I received my Credly badge. I'd ask what caused the delay, but no one at CompTIA seems to...

    CIN TTT Series: CloudNetX CNX-001

For those of us who took the beta exam and were notified that we passed, when will CompTIA update our portal to reflect that we hold the certification and that it is on our transcript? It shows that I passed in my exam history, but nowhere else.

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

130 CISA employees have been fired. Election security specialists have been placed on administrative leave. If this doesn't concern you, it should. https://www.hackingbutlegal.com/p/americas-cyber-surrender

CloudNetX not showing up in my list of certifications

I took the CloudNetX beta exam in August 2024. Earlier in February 2025, I received an email from CompTIA stating that I had passed the exam. As of the start of March 2025, the CompTIA CloudNetX still does not show up in my list of certifications on the CompTIA portal. It doesn't even show up...

    Tech+ exam information?

My impressions of the exam won't be the same as the student's impressions of the exam. I thought it was one of the easiest tech exams I've ever taken, but it should be because I have 30+ years of tech experience. Mostly, it was a glorified vocabulary exam. They cover troubleshooting, but...

    Tech+ exam information?

I took the exam in December and I had 60 multiple choice questions. The passing score is 650 on a 100-900 scale. Essentially, it's the updated version of ITF+.
