CompTIA Instructors & Mentors Needed (Remote – Flexible Schedule)

I wouldn't consider it a cartel or price fixing. It would be more of a discussion of industry best practices. There are several trainers who sell themselves woefully short and they accept offers for training at half the going rate. It makes it tough for other trainers when they're constantly...

CompTIA Instructors & Mentors Needed (Remote – Flexible Schedule)

I've always thought it would be great if there was a place that trainers and instructors could gather and discuss things like pay rates, clients, certifications, logistics, etc. A community where we could exchange information, ideas, and advice related to teaching technical classes. CIN does...

    CompTIA Data+ Renewal

That helps a lot because I'm still a few hours shy of all my CEUs fr Data+, but I've got DataX on the schedule.

    CompTIA Data+ Renewal

CompTIA certs do not "waive" fees. Either you owe them or you don't. Paying for some certs will cover the fees for others, but you'd have to look in your CompTIA account to see your fee payment progress to know for certain. DataX does not provide any CEUs at this time. The only way to get...

Does siting the SecurityX exam recertifies Cloud+?

CompTIA needs to update the CEU information. The Data pathway doesn't allow one cert to renew another, although DataSys+ is good for 13 hours towards A+ CEUs. Cloud+ renews Net+, which renews A+, but CloudNetX doesn't renew anything or give partial credit. The three Xpert level certs should...

    Conquering the SSCP Exam!

Congratulations! I've heard the SSCP is roughly on par with the Seccurity+. What are your impressions? I haven't taken the SSCP. I've taken the CC because it was free, and the CISSP. I'm thinking about taking the CCSP later this year.

Does siting the SecurityX exam recertifies Cloud+?

Passing SecurityX grants you 25 CEUs for Cloud+ https://www.comptia.org/continuing-education/choose/renewing-with-multiple-activities/additional-comptia-certifications

    A+ Spring 2025

They've already done the Sneak Peak webinar, so they should've been done with the questions by now. If you're referring to the information on the following page, it's inaccurate. SecurityX has already been released but the link shows dates for exam writing workshops...

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

An even bigger question would be "Do we trust the world's richest man, whose businesses have billions in federal contracts, responsible for prying into federal departments that oversee his businesses? It sounds like allowing the foxes to run the henhouse.

SecAI+: Have we discussed this yet?

CompTIA should've developed a standalone AI course, and integrated it into their Sec+, CySA+, PenTest+, SecX, Data+, DataSys+, and DataX courses. This series seems unnecessary.

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

Apparently, the DOGE website wasn't secured, so several amateur hackers decided to have some fun with it. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/02/doges-gov-site-lampooned-as-coders-quickly-realize-it-can-be-edited-by-anyone/

Typically, results are announced prior to the go live date for the exam. I've been waiting since August 2024.

CompTIA Instructors & Mentors Needed (Remote – Flexible Schedule)

So, who wants to be the first person to openly discuss how much they charge for teaching CompTIA classes?

SecAI+: Have we discussed this yet?

My question is this. Will the new offerings of AI Essentials, SecAI, a+ Network, and a+ cyber have full CE+certifications? Will they have good for life certificates? Or nothing but training?

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

As I mentioned in a previous post, one of the DOGE employees had ties to cybercriminal organizations. Where is the transparency? Where are the controls?
