SecAI+: Have we discussed this yet?

CompTIA should've developed a standalone AI course, and integrated it into their Sec+, CySA+, PenTest+, SecX, Data+, DataSys+, and DataX courses. This series seems unnecessary.

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

Apparently, the DOGE website wasn't secured, so several amateur hackers decided to have some fun with it. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/02/doges-gov-site-lampooned-as-coders-quickly-realize-it-can-be-edited-by-anyone/

Any news on CloudNetX Certification Beta Exam Results

Typically, results are announced prior to the go live date for the exam. I've been waiting since August 2024.

CompTIA Instructors & Mentors Needed (Remote – Flexible Schedule)

So, who wants to be the first person to openly discuss how much they charge for teaching CompTIA classes?

SecAI+: Have we discussed this yet?

My question is this. Will the new offerings of AI Essentials, SecAI, a+ Network, and a+ cyber have full CE+certifications? Will they have good for life certificates? Or nothing but training?

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

As I mentioned in a previous post, one of the DOGE employees had ties to cybercriminal organizations. Where is the transparency? Where are the controls?

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

DOGE is attempting to cut medical research grants, social security, and the Department of Education. This is not business as usual. And if they were looking for fraud, I have two questions: Why have they found none? Why are they using hackers with ties to cybercriminal activity and not...

    Anyone Using "a+ cyber?"

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

Another viewpoint: DOGE Is Hacking America The U.S. government has experienced what may be the most consequential security breach in its history. https://foreignpolicy.com/2025/02/11/doge-cyberattack-united-states-treasury/

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

I don't view this as a political issue. I view it as a cybersecurity issue related to governance, risk, and compliance. I have emphasized the importance of GRC, due diligence, due care, regulations, standards, procedures, and ethics. DOGE is counter to all of those concepts. Where is the...

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

My concern is that the world's richest man, who has quite a few substantial government contracts, has access to so much data in so many different federal departments. Snowden had extremely limited access comparatively speaking, and had no conflict of interest anywhere remotely similar. Edward...

Is DOGE a threat to national security, or at the very least, Americans' PII?

There are some serious security and privacy questions about Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Musk, an un-elected, private citizen and richest man in the world, has been designated as a "special government employee," however it is unclear if he has been properly vetted for...

SecAI+: Have we discussed this yet?

In May 2024, CompTIA announced a roadmap of AI offerings. AI Essentials was released in the CompTIA store last week. https://www.comptia.org/newsroom/press-releases/comptia-announces-ai-product-roadmap-expansion-covering-six-domains I have no idea what the timeline is for the remainder of the...

    How to keep CompTIA (A+, N+, & S+, CySA+) certifications active

Passing SecurityX provides 25 CEUs for Cloud+. Passing CySA+ or passing PenTest+ provides 33 CEUs for Cloud+. Cloud+ only requires 50 CEUs for renewal.

    How to keep CompTIA (A+, N+, & S+, CySA+) certifications active

If you have those four and they are all still active, you only have to renew the CySA+ and it will cascade down and renew the others. CySA+ requires 60 CEUs in a three-year span in order to renew the cert. The fastest way to renew your CySA+ is to take the most current version, assuming you...

Advice for people soliciting for trainers

If you want to get some responses to your solicitations for trainers, please remember to do the following: 1. Be specific in what you're looking for. Is the assignment contract work, part-time, or full-time? Do you require that the trainer be certified in the latest version, or just have an...

Realistic Presentation Planner for Comptia Network+

If I'm only given 40 hours to complete the class, I can do the lecture or the labs. I can't do both. Something gets cut, and it's usually the labs. CompTIA exams don't require hands-on experience. They haven't required it in a very long time.

    Tech+ Focus Group

I passed the exam on December 30th using Pearson Vue's OnVue. I have taken dozens of certification exams with OnVue with no problems at all.

Realistic Presentation Planner for Comptia Network+

I focus primarily on the content if there is a time issue. One way to save time is to assign labs as evening homework after class.
