Three CompTIA Certification's in the Top 10 of Robert Half 2026 Salary Guide

I was under the impression that Robert Half is where entry-level tech people go between jobs.

Compcert Courses -- Where's The Beef

Demand for CompTIA certs has been limited to A+, Net+, Sec+, and Cloud+. A few people take CySA+, PenTest+, SecurityX, and Project+, but employers don't ask for those certs on job listings. The rest of their certs are low demand from students and no demand from employers. The CompCerts will...

Three CompTIA Certification's in the Top 10 of Robert Half 2026 Salary Guide

They listed them under "Hottest certifications," I stand by my earlier post. CISSP is the second most requested cert behind Security+.

Three CompTIA Certification's in the Top 10 of Robert Half 2026 Salary Guide

I find the list to be highly suspect because it includes the Certified Data Professional (CDP), but doesn't include the CISSP, CISM, or CCIE. A+ won't get you a higher salary. It's a minimum requirement for entry-level jobs.

    Vouchers

I have long believed that CompTIA should add one more requirement for the free vouchers. People should actually contribute to the CIN community. Not just sign up, never post, and then demand free vouchers.

    Lol. I'm older than you!

    Certification Recommendation

I agree that Tech+ is a realistic cert. A+ is two exams and has far too many exam objectives to be covered in that timeframe.

    Passed- CompTIA SecurityX Certification Exam(CAS-005)

Those certs happened because I've been doing this for a very long time. Now I'm focused on branching out to areas outside my comfort zone.

    CompTIA AutoOps+

CompTIA is looking for qualified individuals to help develop a brand new infrastructure-related certification by participating in a beta exam. Input from IT infrastructure professionals working in the field is crucial to our ability to develop relevant and up-to-date exam content , validating...

    Passed- CompTIA SecurityX Certification Exam(CAS-005)

I passed the CAS-004 CASP+ in April 2022 and the CAS-005 SecurityX in July 2025. I didn't study for either one, and during the exam, I skipped the virtual machine question both times. I already had six different versions of the Sec+, three different versions of the CySA+, and PenTest+. If...

Theory vs. Labs: Which One Do You Never Skip?

When I recertify for something I've certified in previously, I just read the exam objectives and brush up on the 10%-15% that has changed. I took the current Net+ and Sec+ without even looking at the exam objectives. I see ads like that online all the time. Take our training and go from zero...

Where to Find Security+ 701 Instructor Guide PDF and PPTs?

It means that CompTIA will lose all training business to others and will only provide certifications. CompTIA's official curriculum has been sliding for a couple of decades, but the current format may kill it off entirely.

Theory vs. Labs: Which One Do You Never Skip?

Certifications were originally intended to validate a candidate's experience and knowledge. They weren't intended to be checklist items for newbies trying to impress recruiters. Over time, all of the certifications have been devalued. I see people pass the CISSP with less than the mandatory...
