    Passed SecAI+ Perfect Score

I am still surprised how many people ask if someone has passed the most recent version. They never seem to care which version of the CISSP, CCSP, or CISM I've passed. They only seem to care about which versions of my CompTIA certs that I've passed, regardless of the CE status or expiration dates.

    Success Story -- SecurityX PASS!

Honestly, you could skip every PBQ on every CompTIA exam and still pass if you answer enough multiple-choice questions correctly. PBQs take too long to answer, considering they have a relatively low correlation with pass/fail rates.

    Passed SecAI+ Perfect Score

I wish every exam was pass/fail with no score reported. It's the only thing that matters.

    Success Story -- SecurityX PASS!

I don't think that Linux simulation question counts for much. I passed both the previous and current versions of the exam, and I skipped the question entirely both times. Congratulations on passing!

Are certification kits no longer complimentary?

Honestly, it's a waste of resources to print a certificate, create a card, and mail the package when you can simply download the PDF and create a digital transcript.

    Took the DataSys+ beta

I just finished the DataSys+ beta exam. They added a new domain 6.0 Data Integration (13% of the exam), You will need networking, security, BCDR, SQL, data privacy, API, Python, Bash/PowerShell, and cloud knowledge to complete the exam. I had 116 questions, with 4 PBQs. I thought some of the...

    Is this forum still alive?

I tell them they have two choices: Focus and work hard, or AI will take your job

    Is this forum still alive?

If they can't focus, they may not be cut out for this line of work.

Employers are demanding AI skills. What's the best way to learn them?

Golf courses, both domestically and globally, use more water than data centers. Agriculture uses 5300 times more water than data centers. It's not about water. It's about hype.

It is a different contractor world

I attended two different cybersecurity conferences in the last week and a half. BSides Tampa at the USF campus in Tampa and poweredUP Tampa Bay Tech Fest at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. I made a ton of contacts at both. Networking is absolutely critical, especially for contractors.

    CIN 2026 Webinars Feedback Wanted

I just attended two different cybersecurity conferences in Tampa Bay and both had multiple discussions about the growth and use of AI in industry. If you're not already using it, you're already being left behind.

Are certification kits no longer complimentary?

I've got most of my certs in a manila folder in a file cabinet. I have six on the wall of my home office, along with my college diploma.

Are certification kits no longer complimentary?

CompTIA is a for-profit entity now. Printing certs and cards as part of the kit costs money. You can download the PDF and print your own, if you want a hard copy. The cards served no purpose other than bragging rights. An email congratulations is considered the standard in the industry.

Employers are demanding AI skills. What's the best way to learn them?

AI , the cloud, and datacenters are not going away, regardless of their opinions. They can either embrace the technology or be left behind in the workplace.

CompTIA AgentOps+ certification development (paid opportunity. on-site)

It depends. I've seen some exams go from Job Task Analysis to Item Writing Sessions to beta to live over the course of a year. I've also seen exams in development that were canceled and never made it to beta.

Employers are demanding AI skills. What's the best way to learn them?

The problem is that there is so very little structured training on AI because it's still new and evolving. There are AI security trainings (SecAI+) and AI governance training (AAIR, AAISM). You can take training on prompt engineering and Agentic AI. But none of the training or certifications...
