I'm the opposite. I only go to testing centers when I'm forced. For me, testing online has been a breeze.

The vast majority of horror stories I've heard could be chalked up to not reading the rules, not testing the system properly, or trying to do something that is explicitly prohibited. I take exams from my home office all the time without a hiccup.

If I remember correctly, Pearson Vue does not allow the use of touch screens at all.

If you have a current certification that has not expired yet, you can use the CertMaster CE, but only if it is for a newer version of the exam than the one you passed. CertMaster CE is only an option for the A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications.

It would benefit everyone to have working knowledge of ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and Claude as their baseline. Otherwise, they're getting left behind.

If you're teaching for a CompTIA Authorized Partner you will need to pass the current version of the certification to teach the class. If you're not, there are no rules. You don't even need the cert, although I personally wouldn't recommend that.

Why do you say that? Laptops are predominantly built without touchscreen technology and testing centers don't allow the use of smartphones or tablets.

I once saw a high school kid take both A+ exams back-to-back and score a perfect 900 on both. I am absolutely convinced he used a brain dump to prepare. Scores of 900 are extremely rare. Two of them back-to-back is statistically doubtful.
