All you have to do to be a CompTIA instructor is pass a CompTIA certification exam and teach the course. That's it. Nothing else.

Both certifications barely had any market penetration, and then they decided to rename both, making them less recognizable to recruiters. This is a very strange decision.

Renaming so many certs makes it much more difficult to promote the brand. CASP was renamed SecurityX. IT Fundamentals+ was renamed Tech+. They literally named it DataX to follow the XPert level certifications of SecurityX and CloudNetX. This seems so arbitrary.

People take them on separate days? I have four different versions of the A+, and each time I took both exams on the same day.

That's too bad because most students don't like CertMaster at all. CompTIA is pushing people towards other providers.

How many questions did you have? When I took the beta last year, it had 119 or something ridiculous like that.
