Inquiry About Becoming a CompTIA Instructor

All you have to do to be a CompTIA instructor is pass a CompTIA certification exam and teach the course. That's it. Nothing else.

    DataX is renamed DataAI

Both certifications barely had any market penetration, and then they decided to rename both, making them less recognizable to recruiters. This is a very strange decision.

What is the status of the next version of Security+?

There has been no official date listed for Security+. SecAI+ goes live February 17, 2026. Both of those answers can be found on the CompTIA website.

Do CIN Members Get Discounts on CE Renewal Resources (e.g., Security+ CertMaster CE)?

I've been a CIN member for five years, and I've never seen a CIN-specific discount program. We do have access to TTT webinars, which typically include an exam voucher, but that's about it.

    DataX is renamed DataAI

Things like this make me believe that the Marketing division is running CompTIA these days. All the tech folks left to be part of the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA).

    DataX is renamed DataAI

We're living in an oversaturated hype era of AI. And a lot of it is filled with errors.

    DataX is renamed DataAI

Renaming so many certs makes it much more difficult to promote the brand. CASP was renamed SecurityX. IT Fundamentals+ was renamed Tech+. They literally named it DataX to follow the XPert level certifications of SecurityX and CloudNetX. This seems so arbitrary.

How to become a CompTIA certified Instructor ?

There is no such distinction as a CompTIA certified Instructor. It's strongly recommended that you pass the certification exam for the CompTIA course you will be teaching, but there is no official designation of CompTIA-certified instructor. CompTIA had a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+)...

    CompTIA A+ 1201 and 1202 passed

People take them on separate days? I have four different versions of the A+, and each time I took both exams on the same day.

Has the Official CompTIA Instructor/Student Guide eBook been replaced by CompTIA CertMaster Study?

That's too bad because most students don't like CertMaster at all. CompTIA is pushing people towards other providers.

Passed the CNX-001 CompTIA CloudNetX Certification Exam!

How many questions did you have? When I took the beta last year, it had 119 or something ridiculous like that.
