So, this is a for-what-it's-worth topic? I saw this story on the morning news and was just left with one question. Why? https://www.today.com/news/ai-jesus-christ-switzerland-controversy-rcna182980

I thought I would share with the community to get some insight. A church in Switzerland ran an experiment where it used an AI generated Jesus to listen to confessions and provide feedback. 🤯 The avatar of Jesus was created using OpenAI's GPT-40. According the story, the AI Jesus confessional was very popular and many folks came to talk to it!

    So then I started thinking.
If we are starting to experiment with AI Jesus, replacing the priest as the middleman, what is next?
Who will be next to be replaced by AI?
What does this mean for education?
This brings back the original question we have heard for years. In the long run, will AI replace all of our jobs?

Looking forward to your insights! 😅

A parody AI for Jesus? However, if the AI starts changing water into wine, as a part time sommelier, I can kiss the career goodbye! 😅 Yet on the other hand, if it can offer useful remarks and render wisdom, then it could be that it is high time for us instructors to up our game. Because, be real, if AI can instruct and wipe the sins away, I’d better get on with making a homework providing and late submission pardoning bot! 🙏🤖

Stephen asked: "This brings back the original question we have heard for years. In the long run, will AI replace all of our jobs?"

Speaking from the perspective of a "retired" worker, I'm safe since I don't have a job.
In my own views major of the job will be replaced by AI.
But some will be left out for human intervention.

So, is AI supposed to replace the WalMart greeter? I don't think so!!! Is AI supposed to repair the tire on my vehicle that has a nail in it? What about bringing my order of pancakes to my table? Is AI supposed to fly that 737 that I sometimes use for my long commutes? One more: Is AI supposed to be my barber?????????

All this yakety yak about AI is definitely producing some foder for conversation, and I'm only engaging here because I'm waiting for my pedicure appointment :) :) :)

One thing that people are missing. Wall Street investors are pumping a lot of money into AI startups. If those startups don't eventually turn a profit soon, the investors will start pulling out and these companies will disappear.
That is very correct but all the same it cannot be only AI there be few human efforts

@jasoneckert, Gilfoyle: Do you need the real me for this conversation?
LOL! I picture someone asking their boss, "Do you need the real me for this meeting?" 😆

@Trevor Chandler, about those pancakes, there's a restaurant in my small town that uses a robot cart to carry food to the table. 😁

@Gregory Childers, do you think that AI bubble will burst soon? 🫧💥
    Roslyn, a remote-controlled cart doesn't count :)
