Hello All,

With the recent update of the CompTIA A+ course, I'm wondering does anyone know if there are any plans for an update of the CompTIA ITF+ course. It looks like it was released around 2019 and some of the content is starting to show its age. We recently started to use the CompTIA resources and we are trialling the ITF+ course as a foundation for learners who haven't no IT experience. On our pathway some of our learners groups stop after the ITF+ whilst others progress to the higher level A+ course. The learners going onto A+ can detect the new content and call out the legacy content in the ITF+

Thanks

Rasheed

This is something I've noticed about those exams that don't have a "ce" designation. Since those exams expire after three years and you cannot retake an exam that you've already passed, CompTIA sorta painted itself into a corner with having to turn out exams timely. For exams that don't expire, like ITF+, Server+, and Project+, CompTIA doesn't have to particularly hold to a hard release schedule.

But you're right, the 061 exam of ITF+ is due for refresh. So, as Abby said...maybe 2024? The only thing mentioned about ITF+ at Summit was something about an ITF+ Site license.

Some of us are old enough to have the original A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications without the "ce" designation.
