f you are an authorized CompTIA instructor and need to extend a student’s courseware expiry date in
CertMaster, you can do so through the platform’s class management tools.
1. Log in to CertMaster
Access your CompTIA CertMaster account with your instructor credentials. This is the main interface for managing classes, students, and courseware.
2. Open the relevant class
Go to the
Classes section and select the class containing the student whose courseware expiry you want to extend. If you are using LMS integration, classes may be auto-created; otherwise, you can create them manually
help.comptia.org.
3. Locate the student’s progress
In the class view, you can see each student’s progress and associated courseware. Identify the student whose due date needs to be extended.
4. Edit the class end date (if applicable)
If the courseware expiry is tied to the class’s end date, you can adjust it in the class settings. In the
Edit Class menu, update the
End Date to a later date. This will automatically extend the courseware expiry for enrolled students
help.comptia.org.
5. Use the “Clear Student Progress” option (if needed)
If the courseware is tied to a specific student’s progress and you want to reset or extend it, you can use the
Clear Student Progress feature. This removes the expiry lock and allows the student to continue learning until you reapply the expiry date
help.comptia.org.
6. Save and confirm changes
After making the adjustment, save the changes. The updated expiry date will be reflected in the student’s account.
