I'm an instructor for Penn Foster College. Since the CompTIA A+ exam is updated every few years, we need to revamp our course to ensure that we are properly educating students on the requirements for the exam. Is there any way we can determine the required material so that we can better develop and update our courses to meet the CompTIA expectations?

Dr. Fred Claus

First, review the exam objectives so that students have an idea of what to expect on the exam. Second, CompTIA has all of these resources built into CertMaster (if you have access), such as lesson plans to help build out your learning model, because everyone's will be different. They even have pacing plans.

Spot on.

Also, @fredjclaus, keep an eye here in the CIN for Sneak Peeks and Train the Trainer webinars - they give you a look at upcoming content from CompTIA as it's coming out.

Remember that with the general six month overlap between certification versions, you should have plenty of time to make curriculum adjustments and get them approved through your Academics department. Once you can pick up a good cadence for that, it's usually pretty easy to do.
