    Hello CINners!

At this time of year, the world is preparing to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, or another celebration.

We would like to know what you are celebrating. What traditions make this time of year special to you? Is there something you look forward to this time of year, a favorite event, activity or food & beverage?

Let's share with the community so we can all celebrate together!

What I look forward to is seeing the increase of Fed Ex, Amazon, and UPS delivery trucks that come through the neighborhood!!!! I used to look forward to the arrival of that fella driving his sled (or is it sleigh), but year after year, he never appeared, so I had to replace that anticipation with something simpler. Hence, the trucks :)

It is a great time to slow down for a few minutes. Egg Nog, Candy Canes, and Martinelli's are things we enjoy over the season. I also like to take the time to improve my skills. Of course, like most people, I use the New Year to set up goals for the next year. It is also a time to dive deeper into your faith.

Being in the middle of the ocean, we occasionally get family around this time. It is a bit hit-and-miss.

We also try to do something to help spread joy. That changes, but everything from delivering treats to friends and neighbors to secretly adopting a family to help them celebrate the holiday season.

Helping others - what a beautiful thing!!!!

For me, it is Christmas! I enjoy the time with my family and just us being able to be together to watch Christmas movies and just chill for a while, some time off of work and school. I love all of the food that comes with Christmas celebration.

    So, shout out, #WhatIsYourFavoriteChristmasMovie?
Thank you happy holidays and new year in advance

My family and I gather around a tree full of ornaments and mementos and watch all the Die Hard movies.

You have the holiday spirit covered—faith, family, and festive treats! But being in the middle of the ocean... does that make Santa's delivery a bit hit-and-miss too?

Well, as my family is basically in transition - kids are all adults now, our traditions are changing. We make cookies or pumpkin bread for our neighbors. The church on the 24th part of our candlelight service and is now becoming somewhat of a tradition for me, I end up preaching Sunday after Christmas. Additionally, I will be preaching for the Sunday past New Years as well.

For the most part, I prefer to keep Christmas very simple. Music from Mannheim Steamroller, Christmas Jazz or Blues, or Midnight Syndicate's Ghostly Christmas albums usually emanate from my workspaces. Or Twisted Christmas from Bob Rivers when I'm ornery.

And since @Stephen Schneiter asked - I really don't have a favorite Christmas movie, but I'm going to take the time to ignite the age old argument:

Die Hard and Gremlins are Christmas movies. #ChangeMyMind

    So, how's that?

    Happy Happy, Merry Merry, y'all

    Rick

Probably Elf—because nothing says holiday spirit like a grown man in tights spreading Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear.
IDK, I would have to add in Spirited! Watched it again last evening. Quickly becoming one of my favs. But, I am not wishing you "GOOD AFTERNOON!" :ROFLMAO:

Spirited is a fantastic choice!......But if you are not wishing me 'GOOD AFTERNOON!' then I will just have to keep singing 'loud for all to hear' just like Buddy the Elf! until you change your mind😅😅............While am wishing you a very... ahem... spirited afternoon.
