Has anyone taught CySA+ CS0-003 within the last few months?

So the reason I ask is that I taught the class in November of 2024 and there were 14 modules/chapters and corresponding 14 PowerPoints. The were roughly 30+ labs. Someone in my organization posted a set of slides and there were only 12. Comparing Lesson 1 from the 14 group and 12 group, the latter had 25 slides while the former (older one relatively speaking had 32 slides)

I reached out to my associate to see where he downloaded the shorter versions from but I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else saw or experienced this weird discrepancy.

Lesson 12 - Understanding Application Vulnerability Assessment

Lesson 14 - Understanding Application Security and Attack Mitigation best Practices

Both versions represent the last lessons.

Thanks.

Hi Pbrabson,

There are are actually 14 lessons and likewise 14 slides. You're quite right about the overlap, there are a lot of similarities between lessons 12 and 14 but the content and objectives of the individual lessons are different i.e. Lesson 14 leans more towards web application attacks whereas 12 delves on intricacies of web application scanning

Lesson 14 entails:
•Explore Secure Software Development Life Cycle concepts.
•Learn about authentication attacks and protections.
•Review overflow attack types.
•Explore injection attacks.
•Learn about mitigations for many different classes of attacks.

whereas

Lesson 12 :
•Explore different web application scanners.
•Learn about web application scanner capabilities.
•Review popular software debuggers.
•Explore different cloud assessment tools.
•Learn about cloud assessment tool capabilities.
