I have never used CompTIA for certifying my high school students. However, TestOut was good (in my opinion) so here I am. What are the pro's and con's for those of you with experience doing so with CompTIA? Does the training provided align with the certification exam? What is your typical pass rate? Do you have someone (like a Rep) I can contact for pricing? Or this there an online form to request a Quote? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have used CertMaster to teach high school students A+, It does a good job. The only thing I would recommend outside of CertMaster is having actual hardware for them to be able to take apart and put back together. One of my more memorable experiences was watching a student exclaim how hard he had to push to get the video card to seat into the motherboard. We used 1 computer for 4 or 5 students, just so they could get a feel for the real thing.

I actually used TestOut in my training along with the CompTIA Certmaster for a couple of years before they were acquired. Since the aquistion they've gotten even better and it's also a great way to use in sections when you need a refresher on something.

Is the school a CTE school?
