Despite their reliance on technology for everything from instruction to attendance, they somehow believe that "Stephen from IT" and a printer manual are sufficient for cybersecurity. Unless you include that one guy who reset a router, Callow says, "they don’t necessarily have cybersecurity experts on staff."

No kidding. I once applied for an IT job at a rather prestigious university. The salary range for the position would've required that I take a pay cut, taking me back to the 1990s. Academia doesn't want to pay for the tech support and cybersecurity that they need. Hospitals are just as bad, if not worse.
