• CIN will be sunsetting the official CIN app! The app will be turned off on Saturday, August 1st. Thank you to everyone who used the app to post updates. It just was not adopted as much as hoped.

NEWBIE ROLL CALL: <20 Total Posts Only Reply

Hello CIN:

So, given that we have taken on some new CIN members this week for Partner Summit as well as over the last month, this post is ONLY for posters that have less than 20 posts total. Anyone can like, but for this thread, I'm asking only new members to post. Let's see who comes up!

Suggested Reply Ideas

1) Who are you, for whom do you teach/work?

2) What is your current certification that you're working?

3) What kind of success stories do you have from where you're working?

In short, this is a "getting to know you" post. But as I said, it's only for the newbies in CIN - to get them posting.

Let's hear it!

Keep it going right??

1) Who are you, for whom do you teach/work?

Im Jackie and im at St. Petersburg College and hold the sec+ and CySA+

2) What is your current certification that you're working? Pentest, Linux and sorry everyone CISM but on hold due to a surgery I had weeks ago (spinal fusion)

3) What kind of success stories do you have from where you're working?
I think it comes from my view as I found out about CIN through our rep. I love teaching students but eventually want to do something in cybersecurity in Florida as I have my masters in cybersecurity. One day work at CompTIA but my LinkedIn is a mess as surgery has made me relax and sadly im on a hold. Im buying a shirt saying I made it through spinal surgery lol.

Absolutely, Jackie! Unfortunately, the forum doesn't support pinning posts to the top of the Home Page, so unless explore the subs, they won't know this particular post exists. Glad you found it and gave us a shoutout.

I surely hope you heal quickly. I've had a few friends who have had fusion surgeries in the past and I could see how uncomfortable it is during the process.

We're glad to have you and hope find the value of CIN as we have, post tons, and find some good friendships out here. I certainly have. And I'd like to count you among them! Feel free to post questions or hit me up on DM if there's something I can answer for you.

Welcome!

Josh here.

From Texas.
Looking to instruct privately for now.

Currently working on some AI certifications, just noticed CompTIA has the SecAI+.

Success story was that I aimed to acquire the CSIE stackable certification Sec+CYSA+PenTest+CASP/SecX & I achieved this milestone in record time.
Good to meet everyone & hoping to get more engaged with the community. ✌🏽

Welcome and a special congrats for finding this particular thread. I can imagine that it's buried deep in the core of CIN these days, but no matter - it's great to have you here, Josh. Feel free to chime in on what you see in the community - always good to see new faces!
