Description


The Workforce and Technology Instructor will plan and implement CompTIA preparation courses for adult ESOL and workforce students and assist with the development of workforce development curriculum. This position will plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans, unit plans, and instructional materials that facilitate active learning in the adult classroom.

The Workforce and Technology Instructor will:

  • Instruct students by providing expertise in CompTIA A+ certification exam
  • Increase students’ knowledge and understanding of networking concepts
  • Train students who wish to acquire the required skills to prepare for a career in network support or administration
  • Train students who wish to prepare for the CompTIA certifications
  • Train students with high quality practical exercises that cover many of the exam topics they will encounter on their certifying exams
  • Will collaborate with and support up to two volunteer instructors on course implementation
  • Assist with class coordination, which involves conducting student registrations, collecting student demographic data, regularly supervising and observing classroom instruction
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
The Workforce and Technology Instructor will work Mondays and Wednesdays from 9AM-11:30PM or 6:30PM-9PM in Manassas, VA or virtually (depends on semester offerings). The additional hours are for paid planning time and for other duties as assigned. Email [email protected] for more information.
