Where does CASP+ fit into your program?

Lee, where I see it offered is in those circumstances where someone is working in an environment where DoD Directives 8570.01 and 8140.01 comes into play and they need to satisfy the requirements associated with meeting Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 3. The CASP is viewed in relation to the CISSP as being:
1. Cheaper in terms of the cost of the exam
2. Cheaper in terms of the annual maintenance fee
3. Easier to pass

I know based upon Internet confirmation that 1 and 2 above are true. While it has been a couple of decades since I took and passed the CISSP exam, I think it is likely fair to suggest that 3 is true. I do know, in terms of an additional requirement that (ISC)2 has a specific experience requirement that successful exam takers must meet in order to obtain the certification. There is no similar requirement imposed by CompTIA for those passing the CASP exam. Hope this helps answer your question.
