Jzol

I am a dedicated faculty member and leader in cybersecurity education at a college in Florida. My multidisciplinary background combines technical cybersecurity knowledge, governance and risk awareness, workforce development, and student-centered teaching. I am passionate about translating complex concepts into practical knowledge that prepares students to succeed in cybersecurity and technology careers.
In addition to teaching, I contribute to cybersecurity program development, student mentorship, internship readiness, and industry engagement. I serve as Faculty Advisor at the college I work at for Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) chapter where I support membership growth, professional development, and student leadership.
Beyond the classroom, I serve as Media and Technology Director for the InfraGard Tampa Bay Members Alliance. In this role, I support public-private collaboration, cybersecurity information sharing, community engagement, and efforts to strengthen critical-infrastructure resilience. I also participate in professional organizations and communities such as ISACA, WiCyS, and the OpenAI Forum, and I regularly speak on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, online safety, insider threats, and emerging security risks.
I hold a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. My professional credentials include CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Security Analytics Professional, EC-Council Certified Security Analyst, Cisco CyberOps Associate, and Certificates of Competency in AI Essentials and AI Prompting Essentials, among others.
Because technology is always changing, I regularly participate in conferences, workshops, and continuing education opportunities. I believe strongly in lifelong learning and live by the philosophy, “When you stop learning, you stop growing.”
I am ready to expand my impact beyond the classroom. My primary interests are in governance, risk, compliance, defending those who are targets and may not have a voice, to protect. I value collaborative teams that invest in growth. I am eager to contribute while continuing to grow and would love to work with someone who can provide support.
Let’s continue to learn!
