When is the official date of the expiry? or how does it work in terms of writing the exam and having the certification if it expires soon.
CompTIA have not release the dateWhen is the official date of the expiry? or how does it work in terms of writing the exam and having the certification if it expires soon.

well notedActually, CompTIA mentioned during the Partner Summit, Teresa Sears pointed to the A+ Launch Phase being in March 2022:

Launch Day becomes Launch Phase - Instead of a single date for release of all materials, CompTIA changed its approach to how certs are "released" by doing a phasic approach over the course of 30 days. This basically gives CompTIA the flexibility to adjust as a cert is rolled out - if something needs to be fixed or changed, that sort of thing. This makes a lot of sense to me since there are always unanticipated quantities in revolving projects like this.

So I would expect to see exam availability in April of 2022, which, if CompTIA follows true to form, that would mean a six month phase out of A+ 1001/1002 by October 2022. Exact date timelines won't show up until we actually get closer to the Launch Phase, I reckon.

Wouldn't be the first time I brought the rain to a sunshiny day. You're killing me smalls
It may workThis may be too easy of a question, but could a person pass the old 1001 exam and then pass the new 1102 exam and get their A+ ?
I've been certified in A+ four different times and they've always required a candidate pass both exams in the same series. This may be too easy of a question, but could a person pass the old 1001 exam and then pass the new 1102 exam and get their A+ ?
Thanks Greg. I appreciate the info. I am still waiting on my request from Comptia for official verification.I've been certified in A+ four different times and they've always required a candidate pass both exams in the same series.
It would require a change for CompTIA to allow people to mix exams like that.
