    Cloud Essentials+ retires on September 25, 2025

I'm assuming that they run the numbers on sales figures in the CompTIA store for vouchers and training to make decisions regarding ROI. The organization has retired several certifications over the years. I'm adopting a "wait and see" approach to the new products. My concern is that I hope...

    Cloud Essentials+ retires on September 25, 2025

This makes the fourth CompTIA certification I've earned that has been retired.

Xpert Series - DataX and CloudNetX

So I have a partial answer from CompTIA:

    Reduced functionality

Good luck getting an official answer soon. The new management at CompTIA has been silent as the grave on most queries.

    New cert: SecOT+

That's the best part of living in Florida. Pool season lasts a lot longer.

I haven't done any work with AWS yet. Strictly MS Azure so far.

    New cert: SecOT+

At our age, slowly is the only speed we have left.

    New cert: SecOT+

CompTIA should have designated representatives for publishing proposed/approved new certifications and offerings to the CompTIA Instructor Network. It's a shame that we find out about new stuff no sooner than the general public at large. Seriously, you will find no advocates for CompTIA more...

Good Day Poeple I have a problem of which I hope one of you poeple can help

I have used the CompTIA official curriculum, which I guess is now called CertMaster Learn, for 20 years. I find it to be comprehensive and easy to understand. The CertMaster Labs are better today than they've ever been. The CertMaster Practice is hit or miss. Some questions are intentionally...

Xpert Series - DataX and CloudNetX

I thought CloudNetX was more challenging than either the Cloud+ or the Network+. I recently passed my fifth version of Network+ and my second version of Cloud+, and I thought that those two were much less challenging. There were definitely topics on CloudNetX that weren't on the other two...

Pearsonvue test center? You got one?

Based on my time on that subreddit, #1 is the cause of the majority of incidents.

Pearsonvue test center? You got one?

I have found that the vast majority of issues with home testing are due to testers NOT reading and following the technical instructions or the room setup requirements. If you can't figure out how to troubleshoot basic stuff like this, you're not ready for the test. I've taken dozens of...

Xpert Series - DataX and CloudNetX

I wish they would. My Data+ is up for renewal in November, and my DataSys+ is up next year. I think there is probably as much overlap between CloudNetX and Net+/Cloud+ as there is in SecurityX and PenTest+/CySA+/Security+.

I recommend MeasureUp https://www.measureup.com/comptia.html I also recommend CyberVista (formerly Kaplan IT, Transcender) https://certify.cybervista.net/vendor/comptia/ You can also try Boson https://boson.com/certification/comptia The Sybex books from Wiley Publishing are rather solid...

Xpert Series - DataX and CloudNetX

There are three XPert Series exams: SecurityX, DataX, and CloudNetX. SecurityX (formerly CASP+) is an expert level cybersecurity certification. It is higher level than Security+, CySA+, and PenTest+. It also renews each of these certifications. DataX is an expert level data science...

Pearsonvue test center? You got one?

I take all my CompTIA exams online. The only exams that I take at a testing center are ISC2 exams because they do not do online testing. Online is so much easier. The nearest testing center is ten miles away and they only test M-Th from 8:00 AM until 1;00 PM. With OnVue, I can schedule 24...

Wondering what type of organization you work for as a trainer

I have worked for training centers and as an independent contract trainer. I have traveled to all 50 of the states in the US, as well as DC and Puerto Rico. I've also traveled to six countries abroad. I've taught for local, state, and federal government. Health care, shipping/logistics, food...
