Has anyone had an issue getting past the user info validation page when scheduling an exam?

Thanks for the comments everyone - it's working beautifully now and was able to book the exam! I don't imagine Pearson VUE has many downtime issues (likely because they aren't owned by Rogers here in Canada), but I've booked Data+ and Pentest+ too just in case :)

Has anyone had an issue getting past the user info validation page when scheduling an exam?

I just got an update from the ticket I submitted. The issue isn't on CompTIA's end - apparently Pearson's systems are down right now so you can't schedule exams (just an FYI).

Has anyone had an issue getting past the user info validation page when scheduling an exam?

While I've submitted a ticket for this, I thought I'd post it here in case someone else has had the same issue and there's a simple solution. I booked the 220-1102 exam on Sunday. Everything on the site worked flawlessly. Passed it Tuesday and now want to book 220-1101. But today, when I log...

Problems with PBQ questions on MacOS?

It does feel dirty taking Linux+ on a Windows system... But you could always install WSL2 first, so at least there's a Linux kernel always running alongside the Windows kernel

    Adaptive exams?

Ditto what Rick said - I don't think I remember any adaptive CompTIA exams (just Microsoft, and they stopped doing those in the 2010s). I believe the idea Microsoft had behind adaptive testing was to reduce the "paper MCSEs" back then (their exams questions were very easy and only required...

Problems with PBQ questions on MacOS?

The one thing that's great about a physical PearsonVUE Test Center is that you always get the same experience. This is likely because each testing system has strict version requirements (down to the OS build and updates).

Usage of non inclusive language in SK0-005

I believe it was one of the terms that was replaced on the inclusive terms list. However - the issue with this particular term is that it's still (and likely to be always) used in the industry and online. So, I have to tell my students that DMZ = perimeter network = screened subnet (although...

I did a Git blog post back in 2018 that served as a quickstart for our developer students - you may find it helpful: https://jasoneckert.github.io/myblog/a-simple-guide-to-git/

    Project+ TTT Vouchers

The A+ vouchers came through for me back in September, but I'm still waiting for Linux+ and Project+ (but there's nothing wrong with waiting for something that's free, right?) :)

Dark Mode for the CompTIA Instructor Network website?

I've never understood why everyone is raving about dark mode these past few years, specifically. After all, we've had it for 40 years: http://triosdevelopers.com/jason.eckert/stuff/darkmode.jpeg
