A sticky post for all upcoming / new CompTIA certifications

Hi CIN Team

I currently get an email from my CompTIA account manager of all upcoming and coming soon CompTIA certifications. Shouldn't this be something that should be readily available to us CompTIA instructors in the CIN? I see posts (and I've made posts myself in the past) enquiring when a new certification is coming or when an update is coming. Maybe creating a place for displaying them all would help?

Generally in the CIN, we follow the three-year model for certs. While it does take some research on a cert to go back to when it came out (or a quick ask to your favorite AI), we can usually predict when a new cert is scheduled out. For example, Network+ N10-009 dropped in the summer of 2024, so that will put N10-010 around 2027.

At the advent of release, we'll start seeing things like Sneak Peeks and Deep Dives that announce a cert, followed by the Train the Trainer series. One of the other things that's always helpful is that six month overlap period - where once a new version of an exam drops, folks have six months if they want to take the previous version. Good for some of us who often wait to the last minute on things.

As CompTIA has been going through a lot of changes, organizationally, we've seen new exams come and go - so I would say your Account Rep is probably the best source for this information. While some kind of bulletin board would be neat to see, the upkeep as well as changes in timelines could make that process a bit arduous.

Others may disagree, but that's generally my take.
