Day Three: And yes, I got up for the gym. But the fitness center is pretty empty this morning so I have this distinct feeling that the Tao party last night turned today into a rest day for them.

No matter, let's get after it..

Seminar: Blueprint for TestOut and CompTIA products.

Use both to build a "unified platform" on the LabSim platform. It won't be the same, but it leverages a convergence of both on LabSim.

    Priority on Core Learning Products.

Owning an entire platform allows better control of pricing

Rethinking how the learning materials are constructed. Granular thinking.

Currently the dev teams are combined. Supporting CompTIA and LabSim - new products (data/datasys) are being developed on LabSim.

Integrate CompTIA material on LabSim (skillable, PBQs). Doing GAAP analysis as part of the outcome.

    Opportunities for piloting and testing.

LabSim - Simulations, text lesson, expert instructions, interactive video, section quizzes and exams, certification practice exams performance reports, competency assessments, custom assessment, classroom management, student reports, LMS integration, and data exports.

Simulated start with a view of a campus and drill down to the workstation, labs are scored with feedback.

New Unified Platform Vision: virtual machines and cloud labs, PBQs, 3D Hardware labs, video in text lessons, translation / localization, responsive layout/mobile compliance, accessibility including simulations, and retheming.

Lab simulation now to incorporate a save progress feature for two concurrent labs. Incorporating 3D workbench labs from CertMaster.

Access time unknown for licensing. Still policy deciding ...

Multiple pathways to task completion in simulation - trying to support...best effort.

Attendance - reports for live and time spent in product.

Non-CompTIA LabSim products future: CompTIA has embraced continued support for MSFT, Cisco, AWS, etc

Potential for granular presentation for customization for a course.

The "Pro" certifications in TestOut to be renamed to something like "Competency Assessment" reserving the title of "certification" to CompTIA certs.

I really didn't go picking up a whole lot of the vendor swag out of the ChannelCon expo. But we do have some small buttons, notepads, stickers, and t-shirts from Channel con, Partners Summit, and capture the flag.

There are other folks who walked out with a small suitcase full of stuff. I guess they can have their own fun getting it through TSA.

and congratulations to @Gregory Childers as the 2023 CIN Most Valuable Contributor!
Thank you! Just my luck I win a major award and I can't be there because I'm teaching a CASP+ class this week.
