Ugh. This is a huge pet peeve of mine.

SIEM is pronounced "SIM" not "SEEM." I worked for a SIEM. My company and every one of our competitors pronounced it "SIM."

There is no official pronunciation of SIEM.

That being said, English favors dictation where the second vowel is emphasized (i.e., SEEM, not SIM), which is likely why most pronounce it that way. But more importantly, this pronunciation avoids confusion with SIM (Security Information Management), which can only be pronounced as SIM.

@jasoneckert did a FANTASTIC job introducing the importance of CloudNetX and the role it plays for the "Modern Network Administrator"! He described it as a "destination" certification and the value of having Network+, Security+ and Cloud+ building up to CloudNetX! The session was packed with great information!

The exam launches in mid/late Q1 2025. Yes! We will offer a TTT series for CloudNetX led by Jason. probably early Q2. Keep checking in with the CIN community for the announcement once we finalize the date and access to the learning content.

Everyone in the SIEM industry pronounces it SIM, not SEEM, so it is inaccurate to say most pronounce it SEEM.
