I don't consider myself an "expert" by any means but I believe if I apply myself I can get this done. For anyone that holds the previous CASP+ certification, is there a steep climb from Pentest+ and CySA+?

You got it! There is a step up in depth and complexity, but if you apply yourself, you will handle it excellently. Good luck!
